SUSAN KAMENWA

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Susan Kamenwa-Waweru is a certified Psychometrist with Hogan Assessments and an Executive Coach, passionately advocating for the reverse brain drain in Africa. As the founder and leader of Adelko Consulting Services, she specializes in senior-level recruitment for international organizations, drawing from her extensive experience across sectors such as international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), manufacturing, telecommunications, and financial services. With a deep understanding of labor markets in both Anglophone and Francophone Africa, Susan has successfully navigated complex environments throughout East, West, Central, and Southern Africa.

Susans commitment to nurturing African talent is reflected in her dedication to placing qualified individuals in challenging roles, ensuring that organizations benefit from diverse perspectives and skills. She is particularly passionate about advancing women’s representation in leadership positions, actively working to empower women to take on key roles within international organizations. Through Adelko’s strategic HRM advisory services, she supports organizations in developing, engaging, and retainingtalent fostering a culture of inclusivity and growth.

Beyond her work in recruitment and coaching, Susan is a sought-after speaker and thought leader on topics related to talent management, leadership, and diversity in the workplace. Susan holds an MSc in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the same field, focusing her research on leadership emotional intelligence and its effect on staff retention.

Veronica N. Wambui

SENIOR CONSULTANT

Veronica, a Human Resources Practitioner, is an expert in talent acquisition, policy and process development, compensation, job evaluation, employee relations, staff welfare, performance management, and benefits administration. Veronica is our go-to person for searching, selecting, and placing talents across Africa.

Veronica’s vast experience with HR practices and processes, including reward & Compensation, Training & Development, Workforce Planning and Staff Cost Budgeting is instrumental in supporting our clients and candidates.

Veronica holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration (HR Option), and a Higher National Diploma from the Institute of Human Resource Management. She ia member of IHRM and has a thorough knowledge of Kenyan and East African Labour laws.

Isabel K. Olukoye

SENIOR CONSULTANT

Isabel is an accomplished Human Resources Management Professional with expertise in strategic HR management, talent acquisition, employee relations, policy development, performance management, and compensation. She is one of our key resources for sourcing, identifying, and placing talent across Africa.

With extensive experience in recruitment, talent mapping, and HR advisory, Isabel plays a key role in guiding leadership on best practices and ensuring optimal people management for our clientele.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Human Resource Management Option) from Kenyatta University and a Higher National Diploma from the Institute of Human Resource Management. Isabel is a member in good standing with IHRM and has in-depth knowledge and understanding of HR best practices and labor laws.

David Kamenderi

SENIOR CONSULTANT

David has over 20yrs experience in the Human Resource profession gained in reputable multinationals and local (Kenyan) blue chips with a bias on Total Rewards/Compensation & Benefits (C&B) ranging from the Oil, FMCG, Media, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, non-profits, and Banking sectors. In
addition, he has wide consulting experience in the profession having led the Reward consulting business at PwC Kenya for over 3yrs and as a trusted independent consultant to organizations in different sectors.
Many of these roles and assignments covered multiple countries particularly in Africa.

His experience spans from strategic aspects of C&B, designing C&B programs to implementation of the same. This covers areas such as job evaluation, salary surveys, salary structuring, performance management, performance pay, ESOPs, variable pay (bonus & commissions) and long-term incentive plans.

Whereas he has a bias towards compensation and benefits, David has extensive knowledge and experience in other facets of HR such as employee recruitment and retention, staff training and development, performance management, organizational development, employee relations/welfare and HR policy development. These aid in design of effective C&B interventions.

David holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (first class honors), is a Certified Public Accountant and also holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Institute of Human Resource Management of Kenya (IHRM)

He currently resides in Nairobi, Kenya with his wife and two children
